Guidelines that hold after handover
Guidelines exist so the identity can be used without constant art direction. If they cannot be followed, they are another unused file.
Presentation includes concept lookbooks, the final identity, usage rules and a handover the client can keep. Detail is not allowed to drop at the last handoff.
What handover includes
Production-ready files, clear usage, and an archive that separates final work from superseded exploration. The client should be able to use the system the next morning.
What it is not
A drop of unsorted working files, or a system that only works while the studio is still in the room. Internal complexity should have already produced external simplicity.
